The Wall...

As you can probably guess, I really like this CD. But here's somehting you probably didn't know about it:
It's an unending loop. The end of the 2-disc CD is "Isn't this where..."
The beginning of it (very, very opening to "In The Flesh?") is "...we came in?"
It signifies that the whole point of the album is back where it started. I think it also represents an unending battle of man against the fall into insanity and the fight to keep within the norms of society.

It's one of the best written songs ever!
I love it.
Favorite line (from pretty much anything, ever): "It's like poker, you can play your best, but you gotta know when to fold your cards and take a rest; and know when hold your cards, hold your breath, and hope nobody else is stackin' the deck..."

The semi-infamous "Condemned Theory"

Sigmund Freud developed the Psychoanylitical theory some short time after World War I. It states that there are three parts to every person: The Id, the Ego, and the Superego.
The Id is like the past of mankind - back to the time of the cavemen. It's back to when we did what our nature told us to do.
The Ego represents the self, or the individual.
The Superego represents a sort of filter on the animalistic impulses that the Id sends to the mind. It's developed in one of two ways, called "Nature Vs. Nurture."
The "Nature" route means that your personality is fully developed after age 2, and you can't change who you are.
The "Nurture" route means that you learn morals from your society, and your superego develops with those morals and values.

Well, the demon you kill at the end of Condemned represents the Id.
Your character's mind (and the serial kilers') represent the Superego.
Your character is the id.

The demon started making these serial killers go insane, their superegos couldn't resist these impulses to kill. Agent Thomas hunts down the sereal killers. His superego is broken by the "combat high" that he attains when defending himself. He cracks. He kills the demon. He BECOMES the demon. Having killed the demon, its' spirit (the Id) survived. It moved on to the nearest host, and no parasite wants a strong host-it wants one it can break into easily. So, since Agent Thomas' superego is now broken and damaged, it latches on to him. Now, Agent Thomas becomes the Id. The viscious cycle begins again, and the city takes a plunge yet again.

Yeah, I know. LOTS of reading. If you're intelligent enough to comprehend this, Congrats.!
Anyways, this is the thread that kept getting deleted by the mods on the XBox forums.

There's my insight. And no, I couldn't work the dying birds into the story.
